Proud Navy veteran still serving my country by transporting America’s goods on my back from border to border and coast to coast!

I enjoyed being in the USMC from Oct 2nd 1984 to 1988. Was injured a lot and applied for disability after getting out. Got 10% and was given a full ride to college and graduated from ASU with a small business degree. I am excited to work with more people and networks to help our military people who are in need now. The VA must get a lot better and we can deal with PTSD a lot more soon.

I'm a traditional servicemember, almost everyone on my Dad's side served in one branchanother. I used to tease Dad because I outranked him at our EAOS rates. I was a nuke and conventional electrician, although not a very good one. I've always been better at paper-pushing than wire-biting.

My wife’s name is Karen Nicol-Haukeli MM, BSN, RN, Marine Corps Brat, and now Marine Corps
Wife Ret. Aka: DOC Hawk, and I am MSgt Dale J Haukeli USMC Ret. Together, we are Screaming Hawks Customs & Classics. We are building a 1 off fully custom 1982 C10 to be auctioned off with 100% of the profits going to a veteran charity. Why? For me the reason is personal, I spent a lifetime operating/maintaining
military vehicles and equipment, and training Marines to do it in some of the worst
environments imaginable. Hone their skills to ensure their equipment could always
bring them home, even when home was just a Forward Operating Base in some
temporary corner of the world. Many of my friends and family that I thought returned,
actually have not. I prepared them to go and survive but not how to come home and
survive. Frankly I was lost for a little myself upon retirement, my boys went back and I
went home. I have convoyed my Marines from their families to Fiddler’s Green and
beyond in every vehicle creation imaginable.
I am now back from my inner emotion
convoy to find peace, at least that’s the
vocabulary I have to describe it now. I have
always found the best way that I can serve
those who have sacrificed, I will not stop
now. This project is important to me because supporting and giving back to others who are making the sacrifice for me now is important. “Here am I send me” Isaiah 6:8
